About this book:

The river brought a handsome stranger to her. Would the river also take him away? From her Alabama mansion on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, Lily watches the steamboats pass and dreams of falling in love with the perfect man, giving him her whole mind and spirit. But when the river gives her an irresistible steamboat captain, Lily is torn between him and her pledge to marry the wealthy man her parents have chosen for her. Torn by her love for the mysterious captain, she struggles with duty, honor and faith. Like the river's dangerous currents, her choice will change the course of her life forever.

My Thoughts:

I promised myself (and my readers) that I would only give out honest reviews when I began to review books for publishers. Based on the above description of the book, I was really eager and excited to review this book but in all honesty, after reading it, I can only report that this book was an "okay" read.

In all fairness to the story, it did get better in the last few chapters.

I encourage you to put aside my review and read this book for yourself. It might just be a great book to someone else!

Thanks so much to Library Thing Early Reviewers for providing me the opportunity to review this book!

Sometimes it's like that, Renee, but thank you for the review anyway. Usually I will not review books that are just OK to me.
