Things have been pretty hectic here in my neck of the woods so when I received a copy of The Secret Keeper by Beverly Lewis to review from Library Thing, I was a pretty happy camper!  :)

The Secret Keeper is book 4 in Beverly Lewis' Home to Hickory Hollow series. With this book, Ms. Lewis returns to the setting of Hickory Hollow where her initial book series, The Heritage of Lancaster County  took place.

The story revolves around the Jenny Burns, a young woman with a secret ~ her heart's desire to become Amish in all ways and live out her days within the Amish community.

While not born into the Amish faith and culture, Jenny has never felt she truly ever fit in with her family and life; she longs to dedicate herself to the Amish faith and way of life. Her family  and friends don't understand her deep longing to live a lifestyle so unlike the one she was raised in.

After much soul searching, Jenny secretly makes decisions and arrangements to follow her heart and fulfill her life long dream. The story follows as she enters her time of "proving" within the Hickory Hollows Amish community.

Will Jenny succeed in her dream of living the Amish life and faith?

I really enjoyed reading The Secret Keeper by Beverly Lewis. It is a beautiful story!

Ms. Lewis' characters are engaging, charming and the story realistic. The plot is full of in-depth description of Amish life, faith, blessings and challenges as well as love.

I fully enjoyed the plot that wove The Shunning into the story of The Secret Keeper. It was very well done and such a pleasure to read!

Many thanks to Library Thing ~ Early Reviewers for the opportunity to review this book.  This post reflects an honest review of my thoughts and feelings about this book.
