My Little Life of Jesus  is a wonderful introduction for young children to learn about God's word and His love for us.

My Little Life of Jesus lends itself to reading for parents and children or a great book for an older child to start reading on their own. Frankly, the message contained in this book is truly for children of all ages!

Rogue: The Paladin Prophecy Book 3 ~ Waiting on Wednesday

It's been awhile since participated in this meme and I'm glad to be back.

I came across a wonderful children's book series  for ages 9 and up.  My youngest son just inhaled the first book The Paladin Prophecy and is now reading book 2 of the series, Alliance.

I read them along with him and I have to share that I was just as captivated.  It is absolutely awesome to see him so excited about a new series!

Needless to say, we are both eagerly awaiting the release of Book 3 in this series ~

  • ISBN-10: 0375870474

Months after uncovering the sinister Paladin Prophecy plot, Will continues to work with the mastermind behind the project—none other than his own grandfather, Franklin Greenwood. Will cooperates in order to keep his friends safe. But are they really secure in the hands of a madman?

Under constant surveillance, Will and his friends secretly devise a plan to defeat Franklin Greenwood and his Knights of the Charlemagne. The team must enter the Never-Was and find an elusive group of supernatural beings called the Hierarchy. But as the battle approaches, the alliance uncovers old secrets that threaten to tear them apart. Can they protect Earth from the demons beyond? Or will a rogue player destroy them and the world they live in?

Thrilling mystery and electrifying suspense abound in Mark Frost’s action-packed Paladin Prophecy series, which is compelling to the very last page!

Feeln from Hallmark ~ Yes!!!

Just a note: I have no connection to the Feeln company, other than being a very happy customer.  I have not received any incentives or freebies from them in exchange for writing this post.

I have loved Hallmark Hall of Fame movies and the Hallmark channel since I was a teenager. I eagerly wait for my favorites to air on the Hallmark Channel.

A few months ago, I started seeing the Feeln (formerly known as Spirit Clips) advertisements around the web and blogging world. I glanced at it but really didn't take notice till I found out it was a streaming service with family friendly movies, tv shows and Hallmark Hall of Fame movies.

I eagerly researched it further and found that they were offering a free trial week.

I tried the one week free trial and fell in love with this streaming service!

I checked out the price and found it to be very reasonable. If you subscribe for a year in advance, it averages to $3.99 a month. If you subscribe month to month, it's $4.99 a month.  These Prices are a Steal!

They have so much more than just Hallmark Hall of Fame movies! There are a plethora of family friendly movies of all kinds, kid's TV shows, heart warming series, educational documentaries and so much more! It really is family friendly.

There's something for everyone in the family to watch ~ including the Dads!

When I joined there were a few glitches with their streaming speed but I suspect that was due to everyone joining up faster then they may have anticipated.  The issue was resolved in about a week and since then, I have NO problems at all with streaming from their site.

They are adding more and more movies, tv shows and documentaries. I can't say enough as to how much I am enjoying this website. It is so refreshing to watch uplifting movies and tv shows that not only I enjoy but that our whole family enjoys together!

Plain Wisdom by Cindy Woodsmall and Miriam Flaud

  • ISBN-10: 0307459349
  • ISBN-13: 978-0307459343

I've enjoyed reading Cindy Woodsmall for years and when I came across this book, I could't wait to read it.  I always love to read about an author's real life experiences that are used to mold and create the stories they write.

Plain Wisdom is a heartwarming book that shares a very deep and unique friendship between two women with very different backgrounds.

Both Cindy and Miriam share their friendship, lives and faith openly with humor and grace.  I started out the book a bit distracted with life's demands but soon after, I lost myself in the pages and couldn't put it down till I was done.

A wonderful bonus to this delightful book is the great recipes included.  They all sound so good ~ I can't wait to make them!

I give Plain Wisdom high praise!

Many thanks to WaterBrook  Multnomah  and the Blogging for Books program for providing me a free copy of this book to review. My review is a true and upfront reflection of my feelings about this book.

Catching up ...

Unfortunately I had a bit of an accident right before Christmas and broke my shoulder. Couldn't do much of anything for awhile let alone type but I am happy to report that I am on the mend!

Here is my rather late holiday wishes to all ~

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season
 with family and friends
and am wishing you all the best in 2015!

The up side to a rather challenging December was that I had plenty of reading time while I recovered.  I am so grateful for my kindle and audio books as I was one handed during my recovery and it would have been near impossible to hold a regular book.

Needless to say, I have quite a few books set aside to post about! :)

2014 Reading Review

At the start of 2014, my focus was to get back to reading for pleasure and to making a dent in my ever growing TBR pile. I am happy to say that I did just that!

Looking back on the past year, the unintentional theme of my reading ended up being "book series".  I didn't plan it that way, it just happened. I have to admit, I am one happy camper as y'all know how much I love to read book series!

Here are some of the book series I enjoyed in 2014:

(just the first book; reading the rest in 2015)
