My pick for this week  is ...

  • Publisher: Ballantine Books
  • ISBN-10: 0553391968
  • ISBN-13: 978-0553391961

Release Date ~ March 21, 2017

Synopsis

After living in the shadow of her overbearing parents for twenty-five years, Beth Prudhomme is finally taking charge of her life. She moves from Chicago to Portland, reconnects with her favorite aunt, and finds a job as a high-school music teacher. Everything seems to be coming together—except for her love life, which is going nowhere.

Her friend Nichole introduces her to Sam, but the tattooed mechanic is her parents’ worst nightmare. Then tragedy strikes, forcing Beth to reevaluate everything—because sometimes life can be so wrong it’s right.

Why this book?

There were two things that drew me to this book other than it being a Debbie Macomber novel. The first is that this book's cover is absolutely gorgeous! I could look at it all day long and never get tired of it.

The second thing?  The phrase "because sometimes life can be so wrong it's right" in the synopsis just tugged at me.  I can't wait to find out what is "so wrong, it's right!"

What new books are you waiting to read?

I haven't read a Debbie Macomber book in years, though I'm not sure why. I enjoyed her stories. This blurb is fantastic. Maybe this would be the perfect place to start. Nice pick! :)

You know, I don't think I've actually read a book by this author but I know she is pretty popular. I enjoy reading books like this more in the summer, so maybe I will look into it when it comes out. And you are absolutely right, the cover is really pretty.

Oh Sam sounds like he's definitely in the so wrong it's right category! The cover is interesting, from the blurb I weirdly expected something more with Sam, but this is Beth's story!

I really enjoy Debbie Macomber. I was bummed when they canceled the Cedar Cove show on Hallmark. If Not for You sounds great. Thanks for visiting The Book Connection.

I haven't read a Debbie Macomber novel for a while, but she's always great, so I'm adding this one to my Goodreads shelves. New one for me! And I'm with you on that cover -- it is indeed GORGEOUS. It looks so 'summery', too!

Thanks for sharing, as well as for commenting on my own WOW post!! Sorry for the late comment back. Hope you're having a GREAT Suncay!! :)

I've heard of Debbie and her books are familiar to be (I've seen them on Goodreads or on other's blogs), but I've never read anything by her. That said, I do enjoy the Hallmark films that are based on her books. Always cute. :)
