Nick and Eryn must figure out a way to save the world without sacrificing their newly discovered family in this follow-up to Under Their Skin, which Booklist called “crisp, intriguing, and thought-provoking” in a starred review.

In Under Their Skin, twins Nick and Eryn successfully met their new step-siblings, Ava and Jackson. But in doing so, the twins found themselves on a mission to discover how to prevent humanity from facing certain doom.

Now, their two families are joined together to save not only themselves, but everyone—human and robotic. Can they figure out how before it’s too late?

I'm a big fan of Margaret Peterson Haddix and I'm currently reading Under Their Skin, Book 1 in this series.  I'm trying to stretch out reading this book but it's not happening .. I am too wrapped up  the intrigue and suspense of this book to put it down!

I guess April is not that far off  to wait to read In Over Their Heads. At least I  am savoring the anticipation of reading it! :)

Mary Chosen of God by Diane Wallis Taylor ~ Celebrit Blog Tour!

About the Book

“Blessed are you, Mary, chosen of God.”

Mary is ordinary girl from Nazareth. She helps her mother with household chores, she daydreams about a handsome carpenter’s son named Joseph, and at night she lies on the roof and contemplates the stars.

But one evening, a heavenly visitor comes with unexpected news—and her life is changed forever.

Experience the life of the Messiah from the perspective of his mother, who must place her trust and obedience in Adonai, the Most High, as he fulfills centuries of prophecy in the middle of her daily life. Walk with Mary as she witnesses Yeshua grow, mature, minister, and even be crucified—and then raised again, to the kindling of her new faith.

Aerie by Maria Dahvana Headley
Series: Magonia (Book 2)
Publisher: HarperCollins
ISBN-10: 0062320556
ISBN-13: 978-0062320551
Release Date ~ October 4, 2016!

The stunning sequel to Maria Dahvana Headley’s critically acclaimed Magonia tells the story of one girl who must make an impossible choice between two families, two homes—and two versions of herself.

Aza Ray is back on earth. Her boyfriend, Jason, is overjoyed. Her family is healed. She’s living a normal life, or as normal as it can be if you’ve spent the past year dying, waking up on a sky ship, and discovering that your song can change the world.

As in, not normal. Part of Aza still yearns for the clouds, no matter how much she loves the people on the ground.

When Jason’s paranoia over Aza’s safety causes him to make a terrible mistake, Aza finds herself a fugitive in Magonia, tasked with opposing her radical, bloodthirsty, recently escaped mother, Zal Quel, and her singing partner, Dai. She must travel to the edge of the world in search of a legendary weapon, the Flock, in a journey through fire and identity that will transform her forever.

Told in Maria Headley’s trademark John Green–meets–Neil Gaiman voice, Aerie is sure to satisfy the many readers who can’t wait to return to the spellbinding world of Magonia.

Aerie by Maria Dahvana Headley is the second book in the Magonia Duology. While each book in this series can be read as stand alone books, I  recommend reading them in order to best enjoy this unique series.

I found the beginning of Aerie to move a bit slowly but the story quickly picked up pace and moved steadily through till the end. It is an engaging read that kept me on my toes!

The only thing that was a bit of a negative for me was that there was a bit too much angst and drama between Aza and Jason. So much so that at times it overwhelmed the beauty of  this story.  Overall though, I enjoyed reading Aerie!
