Years ago, Flora fled the quiet Scottish island where she grew up -- and she hasn't looked back. What would she have done on Mure? It's a place where everyone has known her all her life, where no one will let her forget the past. In bright, bustling London, she can be anonymous, ambitious... and hopelessly in love with her boss.
But when fate brings Flora back to the island, she's suddenly swept once more into life with her brothers -- all strapping, loud, and seemingly incapable of basic housework -- and her father. Yet even amid the chaos of their reunion, Flora discovers a passion for cooking -- and find herself restoring dusty little pink-fronted shop on the harbour: a café by the sea.
But with the seasons changing, Flora must come to terms with past mistakes -- and work out exactly where her future lies.

I can't believe August is already here! Seems like this summer has just flown by. I am working on finishing up my summer projects over this month and catching up on the books I set aside for my summer reading.
Cafe by the Sea by Jenny Colgan is a funny, charming and enjoyable romance story! It's well written, the characters fully developed and the story full family, love, romance all set on an island at "the end of the world".
I laughed, cried, cringed and hooted while I read Cafe by the Sea. I love to read books that take me on an emotional roller coaster ride yet leave me walking away from the story with a smile on my face and a warm good feeling in my heart.
I highly recommend Cafe by the Sea!
I received this book for free. A favorable review was not required and all views expressed are my own. Thank you to Ms. Colgan, William Morrow Publishing and Edelweiss for the opportunity to read and review this book.
